Junior Outside Sales Representative
Location: Buffalo, NY (50% Travel Required – Road Warrior Mentality Needed)
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 base performance incentives

We are looking for a motivated and energetic Junior Outside Sales Representative to join our team and help drive new business opportunities.
About The Job:
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and outgoing sales professional looking to develop a career in business development. As a Junior Outside Sales Representative at Peerless, you will work closely with our inside sales team to generate leads, set up meetings, and grow relationships with OEM and Private Label customers. With hands-on training and mentorship, you will gain experience in technical sales, travel to key markets, and play a crucial role in expanding our customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
· Identify and engage prospective customers, focusing on OEM and Private Label accounts.
· Promote Peerless’ welded, machined, and fabricated parts to engineering and procurement professionals.
· Schedule and attend in-person meetings, traveling to key regions like the Northeast, Midwest, and Canada.
· Proactively build a sales pipeline through prospecting and networking.
· Conduct technical sales discussions with engineers, understanding specifications, qualification requirements, and data-driven decision-making processes.
Customer & Market Expansion:
· Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
· Support lead qualification efforts and track progress in our CRM system.
· Learn how to tailor product offerings based on customer needs and industry trends.
Collaboration & Sales Process Execution:
· Work closely with the inside sales team and senior sales representatives to align on customer needs.
· Assist in coordinating marketing efforts and distributing promotional materials.
· Stay up to date on industry developments and competitor activities.
· Develop structured sales processes to turn business opportunities into long-term annuities.
Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in sales, business development, or a related field.
· 3-5 years of sales experience (process component or industrial sales experience preferred).
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
· Willingness to travel up to 50% and plan efficient, productive sales trips.
· Eagerness to learn technical product details and develop expertise in process components.a systematic approach to sales and marketing operations.
Work Environment & Travel:
· Travel approximately 50% of the time, with a focus on Northeast, Midwest, and Canada while expanding opportunities across the U.S. and Mexico.
· Expected to book and conduct meetings via Teams and In-Person meetings.
· Expected to become an industry expert in High Temp products, Pro Core, and Process solutions offered by Peerless.
· Manage prospects through long sales cycles, developing strong relationships and strategic business opportunities.
