What You Will Do
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Coordinate and conduct full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing positions, including hourly, skilled labor, and administrative roles.
- Work with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job specifications.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, and company policy training.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR concerns, issues, and questions.
- Promote a positive work environment by handling employee relations matters such as conflicts, concerns, and complaints professionally and timely.
- Advise management on best practices for maintaining positive employee relations and resolving workplace issues.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws, and company policies and procedures.
- Partner with onsite safety team to ensure safety regulations and compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist with the performance appraisal process, ensuring that evaluations are conducted fairly and on time.
- Support managers with performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and recognition programs.
- Provide training and coaching to supervisors on effective performance management techniques.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs related to safety, skills development, compliance, and company policies.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with department managers to develop skill-building programs.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Assist with the administration of employee compensation, including wage reviews and adjustments, bonus programs, and overtime tracking.
- Act as onsite point of contact for benefits questions, changes, and communication with employees.
- Promote workplace safety by supporting safety programs, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
- Assist in conducting safety audits and employee safety training to ensure a safe work environment.
- Work with safety team to ensure compliance with OSHA and company-specific safety protocols.
- Maintain HR data, preparing reports related to workforce trends, turnover, attendance, and compliance.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and recommend HR solutions to management.
- Help foster a positive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives.
- Plan and assist with company events, recognition programs, and team-building activities to improve employee morale.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Strong knowledge of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Primarily office-based with regular visits to the manufacturing floor.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments, including noise and safety hazards (personal protective equipment required).
