Reporting to the Sr. VP of Human Resources in partnership with our Home Office Talent Leader, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in advancing Peet’s Coffee’s values by supporting talent acquisition efforts that are aligned with our mission and vision. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent across a variety of functions, while ensuring consistent and exceptional candidate experience. In addition to day-to-day recruiting responsibilities, the TA Specialist will have the opportunity to co-lead talent acquisition initiatives—contributing to programs and projects that enhance our hiring practices and strengthen our overall people strategy.

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. What You Will Do
- Deliver a seamless and engaging candidate experience by managing all logistical aspects of the hiring process, including scheduling, travel arrangements, hotel accommodations, reference checks, background screenings, and interview coordination (both virtual and onsite)
- Post job openings to internal and external platforms such as the Peet’s Careers page, LinkedIn, indeed, and other relevant job boards
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and align recruitment strategies accordingly
- Source, recruit, and hire for junior to mid-level roles across multiple departments, ensuring a diverse and qualified talent pipeline
- Manage the temporary/contractor program and serve as the primary point of contact for preferred staffing agencies
- Own administrative aspects of the recruitment process, including preparing/updating offer letters, managing new hire documentation, referrals, and maintaining contractor files
- Submit and track background checks, conduct reference checks, and support all pre-employment compliance activities
- Maintain and update key hiring tools and documentation, such as the monthly organizational chart
- Act as the Workday ATS subject-matter experts supporting user access, system updates, reporting, and troubleshooting as needed
- Support strategic TA initiatives and projects focused on driving process improvements, increasing team efficiency, and elevating the overall hiring experience
- Monitor and report on key recruiting metrics, support weekly team updates, and help maintain dashboards and reporting tools
- Represent Peet’s at job fairs, conferences, and recruitment events to build brand awareness and attract talent
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure alignment and partnership across the business
- Continuously evaluate and improve talent acquisition processes to drive scalability, consistency, and quality
- Passionate about recruiting, staffing, and/or Human Resources
- 2-3 years demonstrated experience designing and executing talent management/acquisition processes, programs, and ATS technology
- Workday experience preferred or experienced with other ATS systems, including reporting, metrics, etc.
- Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment
- Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Capable of handling high-volume scheduling and logistics needs
- Outstanding organizational and follow up skills
- Resourceful and solutions-oriented—able to navigate roadblocks and adapt to change
- Proactive and innovative, always looking for ways to improve processes and elevate performance
- Experience working cross-functionally and communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects and organizing activities to meet various competing deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Bachelor's Degree in related concentration is preferred, but not required
