Job Overview

PEG Music is seeking an experienced and talented Music Video Director to create visually compelling and professionally produced music videos for our artists. The ideal candidate must have demonstrable experience directing music videos that have been professionally made and shared on social media platforms. Please note that candidates who have not previously directed a music video will not be considered for this role. All candidates must currently reside in the Nashville metropolitan area to facilitate local production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Creative Vision: Collaborate with artists, managers, and creative teams to conceptualize and execute music video ideas that align with the artist’s brand and message.
• Pre-Production Planning: Develop storyboards, shot lists, and production schedules to ensure seamless execution of each video project.
• On-Set Direction: Lead all aspects of the music video shoot, including directing performers, crew, and technical teams to achieve a cohesive vision.
• Post-Production Oversight: Work closely with editors and post-production teams to finalize videos, including supervising editing, color grading, and effects.
• Quality Control: Ensure all videos meet professional standards for social media platforms, music industry promotions, and audience engagement.
• Trend Awareness: Stay updated on current trends in music video production and social media engagement to create relevant and appealing content.

Qualifications

• Experience:
• Proven track record of directing professionally produced music videos.
• Portfolio of work with music videos that have been successfully shared on social media platforms.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency with industry-standard video production equipment and software.
• Strong understanding of cinematography, lighting, sound, and post-production workflows.
• Creative Skills:
• Excellent visual storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to adapt creative styles to align with various music genres and artist identities.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage on-set teams effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Mandatory Requirements

• Previous Music Video Direction: Only candidates who have directed music videos previously will be considered.
• Nashville Residency: All candidates must currently reside in the Nashville metropolitan area to ensure availability for local productions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with independent or major label artists.
• Established connections with a network of production crew and vendors in the Nashville area.
