Personal Injury Paralegal - Legal Funding Jr. Paralegal-Min 3 yr exp. required

The Role

Do you love working on new cases but don't enjoy drafting pleadings? Then this position may be a great opportunity and the right fit for you! As a junior underwriter paralegal, you will work directly with our Underwriting Attorneys & Sales Director to maintain our current client relationships as well as providing intake and underwriting support.

In addition, you will be responsible for participating in the day-to-day operations of processes related to Pegasus’s legal and medical funding services to constantly improve our services for our clients.

The position will provide opportunities to grow within.

Key areas of responsibilities will include:

• Providing Intake for prospective clients
• Reviewing case files, entering case information; writing up case synopses (liability/damages/insurance, etc.).
• Establish and foster client relationships within law firms and medical practices
• Perform effectively working independently, in small teams, and communicating with colleagues and clients in different locations, geographies, and time-zones

Requirements/Skills:

• Please do not apply if you do not have enough Personal Injury Law experience
• 3 years of litigation experience in a plaintiff personal injury law firm
• Diligent, detail oriented, intuitive, good at taking direction, not afraid to ask questions, able to learn quick, ability to see the BIG picture and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills – written, phone, in person
• Professional and presentable
• Ability to thrive in a start-up environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
