Position Overview
The Associate Wealth Advisor will become an integral member of the Pegasus team and will be responsible for supporting and assisting Wealth Advisors in collecting and analyzing family partner financial data, including investment holdings, retirement plans, insurance policies, estate documents, and tax returns, to develop a comprehensive understanding of family partner’s financial situation.
This role requires a strong understanding of financial planning concepts, excellent analytical skills, and exceptional attention to detail. The Associate Wealth Advisor needs to be collaborative with a strong background and understanding of financial planning, financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint. This position requires an individual with a high degree of financial acumen, accuracy, and accountability who can demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks with different members of the advisory team at the same time.
This position provides an attractive entry point to the Pegasus advisory team and the opportunity to support and learn from an experienced team of Advisors working with sophisticated families. It is a full-time, in-office position at our headquarters in Mequon, WI.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Wealth Advisors in collecting and analyzing family partner financial data, including investment holdings, retirement plans, insurance policies, estate documents, and tax returns, to develop a comprehensive understanding of family partner’s financial situation.
- Prepare financial analyses and projections, including cash flow analysis, retirement planning, education funding, estate planning, tax planning, and investment portfolio review.
- Assist in the preparation of family partner presentations and reports, including financial plans, investment proposals, and performance reviews.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations, tax laws, and financial planning strategies to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to families.
- Provide exceptional service by responding to Wealth Advisor inquiries and maintaining records in a timely and professional manner.
- Over time, the role may participate in family partner meetings, taking detailed notes and ensuring that all action items and follow-up tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with Wealth Advisors and other Pegasus team members to ensure seamless coordination of services to family partners.
Qualifications:
- High ethical standards and proven record of trustworthiness.
- BA or BS degree. Focus in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Personal Finance/Financial Planning is a plus.
- Series 65/66 or IA equivalent. CFA, CPA, or CFP are positives.
- Prefer three years of full-time, relevant work experience post BA or BS degree.
- Strong understanding of financial planning concepts, including investment management, retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail oriented with an intellectual curiosity that leads to constantly learning new ways to help families.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive family partner information.
