Technical Sales Representative

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and increasing Pelham Plastics’ influence within their assigned territory. This individual will oversee all sales-related activities to achieve both monthly and annual goals. By implementing solution-based strategies, they will effectively differentiate and promote our technologies, ensuring Pelham Plastics stands out in the marketplace.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a relentless drive for growth and possess the ability to convert both existing and new business opportunities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifies, attracts, qualifies, and prioritizes new project opportunities that fit within the organization’s technical, operational, and economic objectives and abilities, as well as customer expectations.
Define Strategic Accounts based on Ideal Customer Profile. Cultivates relationships with Strategic Accounts and other key existing customers and the key decision-makers at multiple levels and functions. Makes regular visits, identifies additional short- and long-term customer needs, and looks for new opportunities to increase business. Maintains customer database and other customer information.
Organizes and conducts face to face sales meetings, with complete understanding of pricing and proposal models. Sells consultative and makes recommendations to prospects or existing customers of the various solutions the company offers their business.
Analyzes sales data and takes corrective actions where sales are decreasing, sustains accounts where sales are consistent, and notifies organizational departments as sales are increasing.
Create compelling and detailed project quotations with the support of the Engineering teams to drive customer engagement.
Represents the company at industry trade shows and other marketing/promotional events. Effectively utilizes sales collateral to support new sales.
Acquires leads via appropriate sales methods (i.e. referrals, cold-calling, and networking).
Coordinates RFQ’s by initiating internal meetings with responsible parties (Engineering, project lead, etc.) so that quotes can be reviewed, completed and expedited in a timely fashion. Develops, communicates and negotiates quotes with customers to ensure expectations (scope, pricing, deliverables, etc.) are clear, appropriate, and agreed upon.
Supports the development of Supply Agreements, blanket purchase order, Long Term Agreements.
Works closely with all departments in the company and ensures sales related information and issues are communicated to the appropriate person/department.
Manages and maintains sales expense budget and provides summary of spending and expenses.
Maintains compliance to the company’s Quality Management System and procedures. Adheres to the company’s policies & procedures.
Facilitate document completion (NDA/CDA, Quality Agreements, Supply Agreements, ect.) with Administration, Legal and/or Quality Department.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5 years in technical sales, with emphasis on the medical device industry.
Special Skills: Effective verbal and written communication, negotiations, selling, listening and problem-solving skills. Proficient in excel and project management software.
Travel: 75% overnight travel will be required.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
