About the Position
We are seeking a full-time Assistant Manager, Restaurant to be part of the Food & Beverage department. You’ll get the opportunity to foster a culture of creating memorable experiences for members and their guests. What You’ll Do
- Ensures guests are satisfied and service is prompt, responsive, courteous and meets the requests of members and their guests. Responds to dissatisfied members and guests and take recovery actions.
- Follows proper close out procedures and final reconciliation of restaurant financial processes.
- Assists in creating & maintaining par levels and ordering or requesting products to meet those levels.
- Proper rotation (First in First Out - FIFO) of products and food safety and sanitization, (i.e., awareness of product shelf life)
- Ensures accuracy of inventory requests and invoices prior to submitting, fulfilling, issuing and/or accepting.
- Schedules staff and releases information in accordance with departmental guidelines, including all meetings, trainings, or special events.
- Responsible for timely completion of all new hire training and staff reviews.
- Must conduct daily pre-shift meetings and ensure that regular communications occur between departments within F&B.
- Assures that the Foundation restaurant operations are in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in commercial restaurant operation in which there was bottom-line responsibility and accountability for results.
- Basic hospitality management skills to include identifying & solving problems, performing under pressure, multitasking, effectively delegating work, and fostering a culture of engagement, encouragement, and teamwork.
- Knowledge of wine, liquor, beer, and no-alcohol beverage service.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop and reach frequently.
- Ability to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- Must possess a Florida driver’s license in good standing with an acceptable official driving record.
Education
- Minimum High school diploma/GED or equivalent, associate degree or advanced hospitality training/certification preferred.
- Any combination of education, training, and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
- ServeSafe Manager handler certification preferred.
