SUMMARY

Pelican Grand Beach Resort, part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts, seeks a dynamic Lead Server professional who will assists in overseeing the overall service operations. The Head Server is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality service, managing their section, and supporting the team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The Head Server must demonstrate advanced knowledge of menu offerings, food and beverage pairings, and service etiquette. In addition to leading and training the team, the Head Server ensures the proper set-up, service, and clean-up of the dining area while maintaining guest satisfaction and adhering to company standards. The Head Server also plays an integral role in driving service excellence and profit maximization through operational efficiency.

The ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the Head Server will be but not limited to:

· Greet guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and monitor the dining experience to ensure guest satisfaction.

· Train and mentor new servers, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the menu, service standards, guest interaction techniques, and core values. 

· In support of the manager if not available, oversee seating chart and manage table assignments for optimal flow and efficient service.

· Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure food and drinks are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.

· In support of the manager if not available, handle guest complaints and service issues promptly, professionally, and to the satisfaction of the guest.

· Ensure that all opening and closing duties are completed according to the set standards, including preparing the dining area and managing inventory.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

· Support management by enforcing SOP’s and safety practices.

· Complete guest checks, process payments, and handle cash transactions according to company procedures.

· Assist in managing service operations during busy periods, ensuring efficient service and maximum guest satisfaction.

· Regularly update the POS system and ensure accuracy in orders and guest interactions.

· Close out servers and audit receipts.


SUPERVISORY DUTIES 

· Assist managers in opening and closing the restaurant, including compiling daily, weekly, and monthly service reports.

· Supervise and delegate tasks to servers, ensuring that all duties are executed according to company standards.

Abilities

· Ability to lift trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc., ranging from 20-40 lbs.· Ability to push carts, portable bar, and hot boxes, ranging from 50-100 lbs.· Continuous standing and maneuvering in tight spaces.· Ability to multitask and manage multiple guests and tables efficiently.· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Education/Formal Training

· HS Graduate; some college preferred.

. Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.


Experience

· Minimum of 3 years of server experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.


Environment

· Fast-paced, physically demanding environment requiring prolonged standing, walking, and lifting during the shift.
