Teller Floater (Baton Rouge, LA @ O'Neal)

The role of the Teller Floater is to greet all members when they enter the branch and assist them with their financial needs including, but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, payments, and promoting and cross-selling Pelican’s products. Our ideal candidate has a positive, can-do attitude, is a self-starter and problem-solver with strong cash-handling and member service skills.  Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable in a sales environment and be able to meet monthly sales goals. A Day in the Life of a Teller Floater INCLUDES: Performing routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing. Assisting members in the opening and closing of accounts. Promoting and cross-selling Pelican products and services to members to fit their financial needs. Balancing the teller drawer at the end of the day. Balancing transactions and verify cash totals. Investigating and resolving out-of-balance conditions.   Teller floater Skills and qualifications include: A High School Diploma or equivalent. 1 year of customer service to include cash handling. Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills. Strong problem-solving and member service skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PPT. Reliable transportation is required due to the travel requirement.   Other things you may want to know about this position: Work Schedule Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (Note: Travel time may extend beyond normal business hours.) Travel Travel is necessary for this position and mileage reimbursement is available for those who qualify. Work Site Location This position will be based at our O’Neal branch at 2675 O’Neal Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, and will float to the Prairieville, Mid-City, and Denham Springs branch locations with the potential for periodic travel to cover other branch locations across the state of Louisiana as needed.     Why should you join the pelican team?
