A Day in the Life of a Teller Floater
- Perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
- Assist members in the opening and closing of accounts.
- Promote and cross-sell Pelican products and services to members to fit their financial needs.
- Balance the teller drawer at the end of the day.
- Balance transactions and verify cash totals. Investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions.
Teller Floater Skills and Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of customer service experience, including cash handling.
- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and member service skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PPT.
- Reliable transportation is required due to the travel requirement.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Travel time may extend beyond normal business hours.
- 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Travel
- Travel is necessary for this position and mileage reimbursement is available for those who qualify.
Work Site Location
- This position will be based at our Jackson branch and may be scheduled in advance to work at other locations.
