Pella Christian is rooted in the Reformed faith and firmly believe that God is sovereign over all areas of life and learning, including our curricular and co-curricular activities. To fulfill the PC mission, our teachers and staff are supported by the Teaching for Transformation framework and our coaches are guided by the Coaching for Transformation framework. Recent Professional Development for teachers has focused on Teaching for Transformation, Deeper Learning, Student Support Services, and peer collaboration.
We are seeking highly qualified individuals who are in full agreement with Pella Christian’s Statement of Faith. Pella Christian Grade School and Pella Christian High School are accredited by Christian Schools International (CSI). Applicants must possess or be able to obtain proper licensure/endorsements as described in the job description.

Advancement Assistant
Pella Christian Schools is prayerfully seeking applicants for an Advancement Assistant. The Advancement Administrative Assistant (Advancement Assistant) plays a vital role in supporting Advancement operations, including marketing, development and admissions at Pella Christian Schools. This position leads or assists with various projects and events which are designed to cultivate and maintain relationships with the PC Community, made up of parents, students, grandparents, alumni, donors, and prospective parents.
Qualifications:
- Experience, Training, and Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in marketing preferred
- Professional Profile
- Must demonstrate personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Active member/regular attendee of a Bible-believing church.
- Understanding of and agreement with the mission, statement of faith, philosophy and pedagogy of Pella Christian Schools, including the Reformed perspective.
- In agreement with the Pella Christian Statement of Faith.
- Passion for Christian education and Pella Christian Schools in particular.
- Communicates professionally & effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management.
- Works as a team player to accomplish goals.
- Is proactive and seeks ways to add value to the school community.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule as needed to assist with events.

Responsibilities:
- Development Assistance
- Provides development support by assisting and updating donor database
- Follows up with thank you and scheduling donor visits as directed
- Marketing Assistance
- Continues to refine the Pella Christian story to grow the school in enrollment and development
- Creates social media content and schedules social posts.
- Assists with design and production of materials for events
- Updates and maintains the Pella Christian website
- Partners in writing content and creates layout and design of quarterly newsletter
- Assists in organizing and carrying out Connections Committee meetings, including agendas, supporting materials and reminders
- Admissions Assistance
- Organizes and maintains the new family checklist to ensure all items are collected and steps are completed for enrollment.
- Plans admissions events including the New Family Welcome Night, Middle School Nights, Summer Community Builders, Back to School Nights and other Connections Committee events
- Responds to prospective family emails
- Coordinates the New Family Mentorship program
- Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by Direct Report.
Work Policies, Salaries, and Other Benefits
- Hourly position, based on experience
- Minimum of 190-days during the school year, plus 20 hours/week in the summer or full year scheduling option
