What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR ASSISTANT position at Pella Regional Health?
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administration of the day-to-day operations of the HR offices, functions and duties primarily being responsible for providing a wide range of clerical support. He/she is responsible for covering the Human Resources reception desk providing professional customer service and directing persons to the appropriate team members. He/She carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, payroll, organization development, and employment by assisting HR team members in various projects and support as necessary.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Requires High School diploma; prefers Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- A minimum of 2 years clerical support experience, preferred in human resources.
- Must possess a valid Iowa driver’s license and meet satisfactory motor vehicle record requirements.
- Must maintain and provide proof of his/her own auto insurance policy.
- Healthcare experience is desired.
- Knowledge of Human Resources functions and activities a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- High level of organizational skills, customer services, and multi-tasking.
- Requires high level of computer skills to include Word, Excel, and HRIS System.
- Ability to function as member of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to complete tasks independently and utilize good judgment when making decisions.
