Summary
We are seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team at Pella Windows and Doors by Horne. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving sales growth through direct engagement with builders, architects, designers, and general contractors working primarily on new residential construction.
Responsibilities
- Conducting product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our windows and doors in our showroom.
- Building takeoffs from blueprints.
- Driving around beautiful northern Michigan calling on new and established customers.
- Attending prospecting events.
- Checking on active jobsites.
- Engaging with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Utilizing upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities during customer interactions.
- Developing new relationships to expand market reach and drive revenue growth.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, and industry trends.
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout the sales and installation process to ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve overall sales targets and objectives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of proven experience in outside sales or retail sales.
- Prospecting experience combined with results driven behavior and a competitive spirit.
- Experience in the building industry is a plus but not absolutely neccessary.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling and closing sales deals successfully.
- Technical knowledge of windows and doors is advantageous but not required, we will thoroughly train new employees on the Pella products.
- Willingness to go onto job sites and get a little dirty (or snowy in the middle of winter!)
