Job Summary
The Accounting Payroll Specialist is responsible for all aspects of payroll to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timeliness. Duties include processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll, Union payroll remittance, commission calculations, maintaining accurate payroll records, post job costing for labor and other administrative duties as assigned.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
· Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll, including weekly Union payroll.
· Weekly and bi-weekly remittance of employee contributions, including 401K and HSA.
· Calculation of commissions.
· Updating employee records in ADP including garnishments and child support, Union employee changes.
· Timely completion of unemployment and employment verification forms.
· Audit and verify all time-keeping records, including hours, salary, deductions, and withholdings required to comply with state and federal law.
· Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
· Post weekly job costing for labor and benefits.
· Assist in month-end closing, reconciliations, and journal entries.
· Other duties as necessary and as directed by the department supervisor/manager.
Education/Qualifications
· Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
· 2-3 Years payroll/HR/accounting experience.
· Proficiency in ADP, Excel, or equivalent payroll processing software is preferred.
· Confidentiality is a must.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
