Job Title: Fuel Dock Cashier
Department: Fuel Dock
Reports to: Marina Manager
Position Prerequisites:
1. High school graduate preferred.
2. Cashier experience.
3. Customer service.
4. Knowledge of resort.
5. Ability to work with guests in all areas, with a positive approach.
6. Ability to concentrate on detail and follow-up work while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction.
7. Ability to work as a team.
Purpose:
Service customers fuel needs and ensure safe practices are followed. Receive funds for goods and services and records transactions via cash register.
Major Duties:
- Always operate with an emphasis on guest hospitality
- Process cash or credit for payments
- Accurately count back change.
- Processes refunds, credits, and paperwork as necessary.
- Manage rental reservation returns and deposits.
- Be mindful of inventory levels and stock shelves as needed.
- Keep the store and cashier booth clean and tidy by using the “clean as you go” method.
- Enter inventory information into the POS system.
- Be knowledgeable about merchandise and products.
- Ensure garbage from boats and work area is properly disposed.
- Opening readings of fuel pumps.
- Opening and closing inspections of marina
- Pump fuel, propane, and sewage pump out
- Inspect fuel lines for leaks.
- Assist with turning off and relighting pilot lights
- Conduct dye test of sewage lines on a daily basis.
- Inspect fuel and sewage lines for leaks on a daily basis.
- Conduct accurate fuel readings both opening and closing.
- Fire extinguisher inspections.
- Monitor traffic of watercraft at fuel area to ensure that boats are parked properly to ensure safe mobility in marina area.
- Manage multidepartment dispatches for maintenance
- Report medical emergencies to managers.
- Safely handle chemicals and fuel products to prevent potential hazards.
- Ensure customers observe safety precautions when refueling boats.
- Operate equipment with energy conservation in mind.
- Adhere to safety policies.
General:
1. Be aware of daily activities and events at the resort.
2. Be knowledgeable of all resort operations.
3. Perform all reasonable job requests assigned by General Manager.
4. Material handling: stooping, bending, lifting an average of 30 pounds will be part of some job requirements.
5. Be present at all departmental, resort and training meetings.
6. Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (both within the department and in other resort departments).
7. Maintain a positive attitude toward the resort and the job being performed.
