Position Overview
Pelton Project is seeking a Residential Programs Manager to oversee the daily operations of three Residential Treatment Homes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves staff supervision, training, and evaluation, as well as managing resident needs, property maintenance, and program policies. The manager will also collaborate with external agencies, community partners, and internal departments to support high-quality behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and evaluate staff, ensuring compliance with OAR 309-035-100 through 190.
- Oversee resident admissions, referrals, and transitions while maintaining census and tracking reports.
- Manage program budgets, facility maintenance, and resident financial responsibilities.
- Develop and implement policies related to staffing, resident services, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent program needs, including potential in-person support.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and emergency protocols, including medication administration, behavioral management, and grievance procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration, meeting one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, etc.), OR
- Three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience, OR
- Equivalent combination of education and behavioral health experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Social Services, Psychology, Public Health, or Business.
- 2 years of supervisory experience leading teams of 12 staff.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- On-site work in a residential setting with adults experiencing mental health challenges, trauma histories, or homelessness.
- Regular travel between program sites and community meetings.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions, handle multiple tasks, and maintain professional boundaries.
- Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs.), stair climbing, and long periods of standing or sitting.
