Overview :
This position is responsible for ensuring that Pembina assets have the necessary resources, tools and information to comply with environmental permits and regulations and operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This position will serve as a mentor to junior level Engineer’s within the Regulatory and Environment, US Operations Department.
The Engineer, Environment is responsible for the environmental and safety aspects of all operations, maintenance, and projects being performed on Pembina facilities within the US. Additionally, the role involves acting as a significant intermediary between Pembina and external regulatory and all other respective stakeholder.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to :

- Follow legislation and regulations that affect the Pembina facilities and inform all concerned;
- Responsible for reviewing Federal Register, environmental newsletters, as well as attend training sessions to understand and implement new regulations;
- In charge of updating environmental procedures, plans, and practices to maintain compliancy and ensure environmental permits are maintained;
- Involvement with all aspects of Environmental training;
- Review all Environmental issues raised and make recommendations to facility Management and / or Safety;
- Ensuring Air Permit compliance including, permitting, reporting, records and training requirements to meet Federal and State Regulations;
- Ensuring Waste Material Handling compliance including, permitting, reporting, records and training requirements to meet Federal and State Regulations;
- Ensuring Wastewater compliance including, permitting, reporting, records and training requirements to meet Federal and State Regulations;
- Ensuring Potable Water compliance including, permitting, reporting, records and training requirements to meet Federal and State Regulations;
- Ensuring Risk Management Plan, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Spill Prevention Plan (SPCC) compliance including, permitting, reporting, records and training requirements to meet Federal and State Regulations;
- Ensuring Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Superfund Amendments Reauthorization Act (SARA) Reporting compliance including, permitting, reporting, records and training requirements to meet Federal and State Regulations;
- Ensuring Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) compliance including, permitting, reporting, records and training requirements to meet Federal and State Regulations;
- Provide oversight of the cooling water system. Includes coordinating sampling, analyses, and chemical treatment with an outside contractor;
- Develop and maintain an Environmental Management Program (EMP) . The EMP consists of Environmental procedures, recordkeeping systems, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications :

You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must live 60 miles of reporting location or willingness to relocate.
Pay Transparency Requirement : The base salary range for this position is 108,000 USD to 120,000 USD. Actual total compensation may differ based on candidate's qualifications and location. For a list of benefits offered, please visit : Working in the USA
