Job Summary : The Radiologic Technologist - CT / MRI will perform radiographic examinations during evening shifts. This long-term, temporary position requires a New York State license, A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology, and at least one year of CT / MRI experience. The technologist will ensure high-quality imaging, practice radiation safety, and efficiently operate GE or Toshiba CT equipment. Strong communication, patient care skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Qualifications :
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
New York State license / registration
Minimum of one year CT / MRI experience as a radiologic technologist
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Experience with GE or Toshiba CT equipment preferred
Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists
Greet patients and explain the examination process
Position patients and set proper exposure factors to obtain quality radiographs
Practice appropriate radiation safety and protection to minimize patient exposure
Operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively
Report any equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor
Process films and input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing
Follow department procedures and protocols as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual
Provide radiologic examinations based on referring physician and radiologist needs
Skills and Abilities :
Strong knowledge of radiologic technology and imaging equipment
