Senior Sourcing Manager
Location : South San Francisco, CA (Three days at the office and two days remote.)
Employment Type : Full-Time Salary : DOE $95,000,000-$165,000
Reports To : Director of Strategic Sourcing

About the Role
Pendage is seeking an accomplished Senior Sourcing Manager with expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization within the mechanical commodity areas. This role is essential to enhancing our clients supply chain efficiency and driving innovative sourcing strategies. The Senior Sourcing Manager will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to align sourcing activities with organizational goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing Leadership
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to manage cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance within mechanical commodity areas.
Drive initiatives to achieve cost savings and cost-reduction goals without compromising supply or quality.
Identify emerging technologies to optimize performance, efficiency, and stakeholder value.
Partner with internal teams to challenge conventional approaches, fostering innovation in designs, specifications, and materials.
Actively engage with Engineering, Product, and Finance stakeholders to support business objectives and align with the organizations NPI (New Product Introduction) and technology roadmaps.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment with performance metrics and innovation goals.
Drive continuous improvement in supplier operations to enhance quality and reliability.
Lead the development of scalable, efficient sourcing processes to support organizational growth and streamline operations.
Implement data-driven decision-making practices to analyze spend, assess opportunities, and measure performance.
What Were Looking For
5 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management experience, preferably in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Direct experience with mechanical commodities such as CNC Machining, Castings, Extrusions, Sheet Metals / Stampings, and Coatings.
Proven negotiation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently perform financial analyses (ROI, NPV... etc.).
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of summarizing complex issues for stakeholders and Senior Leadership.
Self-directed with a collaborative mindset, able to work independently or in team settings.
Business acumen with the ability to align team goals with broader organizational strategies.
Customer-centric and culturally aware, able to anticipate evolving needs in global markets.
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Must have the unrestricted right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
