Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Subcontract Administrator to join our clients team. In this critical role, you will lead and mentor a team of subcontract professionals, ensuring seamless and compliant subcontract management across a portfolio of government contracts. You will play a pivotal role in supporting mission-critical programs for our esteemed clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Subcontract Lifecycle Management :
  • Manage the full lifecycle of subcontracts, including solicitation, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal regulations, including FAR / DFARS, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive subcontract files and documentation.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship :
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of subcontract professionals.
  • Provide guidance and support on complex subcontract issues.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation :
  • Proactively identify and assess potential risks associated with subcontracts.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risk and ensure successful contract performance.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and address any issues promptly.
  • Collaboration & Communication :
  • Collaborate effectively with program managers, legal counsel, procurement, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors.
  • Continuous Improvement :
  • Continuously review and improve subcontract processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Stay abreast of changes in federal regulations and industry best practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing subcontracts in a government contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in FAR / DFARS and other relevant federal regulations.
  • Strong understanding of various contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, CPFF) and their application.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant subcontract management software.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
