The Pendleton Center United Methodist Church seeks a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Content Specialist. We're looking for someone to engage members of the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church and the communities we serve on our social media platforms to build and strengthen relationships with Christ and the church.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication skills, especially in writing
- Familiarity with social media platforms, especially Facebook and Instagram
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional experience in communications
- Professional experience using social media
- College degree in Communications or English
- Knowledge of the United Methodist Church
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor Pendleton Center UMC social media accounts and engage those who comment or ask questions
- Provide online hosting during PCUMC live streams; welcome guests and provide real-time comments, assistance, and engagement
- Assist with advertising campaigns for church ministries by brainstorming and creating appropriate online content
- Attend staff meetings in person
- Attend church events as appropriate to generate social media content
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
