PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Senior Business Analyst Auto Loan Products at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of the Sr Business Analyst role is to support end-to-end auto loan operations for the auto loan product portfolio. This role partners with the Auto Loan Product team to execute the business strategy and achieve its goals. This role will interact with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to assist in the identification and analysis of operational gaps that impact the direct or refi auto lending performance as well as develop data driven solutions to improve the overall experience. This role requires an individual that has a holistic mindset, is very detail oriented, and can thrive in a fast paced and matrixed environment.

- Drive monitoring and analysis of product operations, prepare related management reporting package and provide insights on root causes, emerging trends and implications of process inefficiencies
- Serve as SME on strategic projects, assisting in the identification of opportunities for enhanced service delivery through online and e-services delivery, outbound calling efforts, and the application of social media, mobile apps and technologies that will optimize the auto lending experience.
- Gather and compile data related to the wants and needs of current and targeted auto lending members.
- Assist the process of gathering, compiling and communicating reports, results, and feedback from delivery channels to improve end-to-end auto lending experience.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of lead assignments, internal campaigns and vendor programs i.e., PenFed Car Buying Service, etc.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of training, coaching, and monitoring to support delivery channels and product experience.
- Transition PenFed delivery channels from order taker to member centric sales and service culture.
- Provide support within the consumer banking product team and across functional teams as needed.
- Assist with maintaining PenFed’s compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances by abiding by PenFed compliance program and all policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Remain current on all automotive lending related regulations and changes.
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience and/or experience in Auto Lending products and/or Operations required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of working in financial institutions required, preferably in a credit union.
- Curiosity, attention to details, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong skills in various data analysis and visualization tools including SQL, Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint are required. Proficiency with statistical tools (SAS, R) and analysis is preferred
- Strong verbal and written skills to articulate complex items in easy-to-understand business terms.
- Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills in order to actively lead and implement ideas in a cross-functional team environment.
