Your Role as STEM Specialist
As the STEM Specialist, you will lead hands-on activities that excite and educate campers about science, technology, engineering, and math. Your creativity and expertise will spark curiosity and make STEM an integral part of the Camp KEFF experience. From designing experiments to leading overnight camping trips, your contributions will create lasting memories for campers.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and implement STEM-focused activities for campers in grades TK-5.
- Design and lead two one-night camping trips for campers in grades 3-5, ensuring safety and fun.
- Organize and manage STEM and camping supplies to support smooth operations.
- Collaborate with staff to infuse STEM themes into unit and camp-wide programming.
- Serve as a resource for staff to incorporate STEM and environmental education into their activities.
- Develop reusable resources to enhance STEM programming for future summers.
- Participate in field trips, camping trips, and other camp-wide events.
The Fine Print
Schedule: June 16 – August 8 (with limited schedules to August 27), Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm, with mandatory staff training from June 3–13 (including an overnight).
Compensation: $906–$1051 per week based on experience, plus overnight bonuses and free PJCC Athletic Center membership.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Must be a high school graduate or age 18 . 1-2 years of experience in education.
- Passion for Youth: Strong enthusiasm for working with children in grades TK-5.
- Curriculum Development: Experience creating engaging educational materials incorporating Jewish themes.
- Certifications: CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain during training).
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Camp Experience: Prior experience in a camp setting is a bonus.
Salary : $906 - $1,051
