What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Peninsular Florida District Council?
We are looking to expand the PFY team by bringing on an additional part-time Administrative Assistant, who may eventually become Full-Time. The minimum pay will be $15 an hour, but a higher amount may be considered based on the level of education/experience. We prefer to have a qualified applicant with at least 3 years of experience.
Location: The candidate must be willing to hold office hours in Lakeland, Florida, as this is not a remote position.
Experience:
Strong administrative skills.
Excellent Communication Skills.
Event coordinating.
Accounting.
Multitasking.
Must be very kind and patient on phone calls and emails. This is a very fast-paced environment.
Travel will be needed to attend all youth events offsite. This may require some weekends, but comp time will be provided.
Lead event registration/teams.
Work well within a collaborative team environment.
Maintain or learn a level of business negotiations.
Must operate with a high level of commitment and integrity.
Must abide by the Youth Ministry Culture Guide.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
Adobe Acrobat
Google Drive – Sheets and Docs.
Data entry.
Experience or learn to use a Macbook, Photoshop, Indesign, minor Graphic Design, website editing, the database Arena by Shelby Systems, and Trello task management software.
Education:
Associate of Arts, but prefer a Bachelor’s.
