Product Specialist

Penmac Staffing is recruiting a Product Specialist with technical knowledge and sales abilities for a top-tier gear manufacturing plant in the Wellford/Lyman area. This company operates in a state-of-the-art facility and offers excellent benefits and long-term career opportunities. Candidates must be located in commuting distance of Wellford, SC (Lyman, Spartanburg, etc.) because this position does not offer a relocation package.

Location: Wellford, SC

Pay Rate: $23-$25 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Potential Overtime)

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Product Specialist Key Responsibilities

• Blueprint & Technical Analysis: Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents to accurately generate quotes and pricing for industrial gear products.
• Quotation & Pricing: Calculate and prepare customer quotes based on job specifications, using established pricing policies and technical guidelines.
• Inside Sales & Customer Support: Troubleshoot customer issues, provide solutions, and assist with product inquiries.
• Product & Order Support:
• Perform industrial drive selections to meet customer requirements.
• Evaluate product selections using company guidelines, calculation tools, and industry best practices.
• Review incoming orders for technical accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Manage order modifications and provide ongoing technical support.
• Technical Sales & Collaboration:
• Provide technical assistance to Sales Managers, OEMs, Distributors, and end-users.
• Work closely with Application Engineers and team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop a deep understanding of industrial gear products, applications, and accessories.
  

Ideal Candidate

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and using that knowledge to generate accurate quotes.
• Strong analytical skills with a technical sales background.
• Familiarity with industrial drive systems, gears, and related products.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide customer-focused solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
