Rewind Operator

Penmac Staffing has teamed up with a local printing company in the Nisswa area in search of Rewind Operator to add to the team! The Rewind Operator is responsible for operating a rewind machine-- a piece of finishing equipment that is used in the label-printing process. The Rewind Operator is also responsible for readying finished product labels in order send out to customers. This is done by working the labels into the proper rolls, inspecting the final products for quality, and then setting them up for shipment.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and operate label inspector machines to include visual quality control while ensuring client quality specifications.
• Ability to read job tickets carefully before running machine to ensure it is set up to customer and label needs.
• Computer job order input
• Inspect and remove all defects, Properly resplice the roll, stamp each roll.
• Lift finished material onto the machine.
• View labels with assistance of strobe light.
• Follow process and procedures.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs

Qualifications:

• Standing for Long Periods of time. This is not a sit down job.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs, 10-20 feet in distance regularly. 75 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to differentiate colors.
• Math skills with the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Pay:

• $17/hour
• Monday - Thursday, 3pm - 1:30am
