Watercraft Inspectors - 2025

Penmac Staffing is looking for Watercraft Inspectors for Aitkin County for the upcoming 2025 boating season!

Watercraft Inspectors check boats, docks, and other recreational watercraft for signs of aquatic invasive species. This is a part-time, weekend/holiday-only position that lasts throughout the boating season.

Level I Watercraft Inspector:
This position requires you to take and pass a MN DNR inspection training course in person and online.

Level ll Watercraft Inspector:
This position requires you to take and pass a MN DNR decontamination training course, in addition to the MN DNR Inspection training course required for Level I Inspectors. Along with performing inspections, the Level ll inspectors also perform decontamination services, using hot, high-pressure water to decontaminate watercraft.

Compensation:

• Level I- Starts at $16.80/hour for newcomers; $17.85/hour for returning inspectors
• Level II- Starts at $18.90/hour for newcomers; $19.95/hour for returning inspectors

Requirements:

• Applicants must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
