PennEngineering is seeking a motivated, excited, individual to be a part of Sherex Fastening Solutions Danboro. The Tapping, Drilling, and Shaving Setup person will safely set up and operate the equipment, follow instructions from the Team Leader, and make informed, quality-driven decisions based on the available information.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Practices and trains operators to work safely.
- Safely performs and trains operators to complete limited machine /equipment maintenance.
- Sets and operates shaving, drilling and tapping machines, as required by demand, utilizing the hand or power tools provided.
- Demonstrates the ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot shaving, drilling and tapping machines.
- Practices and trains operators to produce quality products utilizing Engineering drawings, process control documents, training materials, CBP's and departmental work instructions.
- Practices and trains operators to efficiently and effectively maximize the output of the production equipment.
- Demonstrates the ability to respectively and effectively communicate with operators, supervision and support teams.
- Demonstrates the safe use of all shop support equipment necessary to prepare or modify tooling to produce products meeting the customer expectations.
- Practices and trains operators to utilize all internal forms of measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, gages, etc.
- Evaluates and communicates machine conditions and/or concerns to both maintenance and team leaders.
- Practices and trains operators to keep machines in best operating conditions, including replacing worn fasteners, machine parts or tooling.
- Communicates all pertinent and/or necessary information to fellow employees and Team Leaders.
- Electronically gathers materials for production such as, BOM's, part drawings, tool drawings, production schedules, production requirements, performance reports, etc.
- Detects and reports faulty machine and/or equipment conditions, material anomalies, part / tool drawing discrepancies or other unusual shop floor activities.
- Performs other tasks as required.

Requirements:WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers on a routine basis.
- 1-2 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Able to lift up TO 35 lbs. from waist to floor up to 30 times a day.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist up to 10 times a day.
- Good visual acuity.
- Must be able to stand approximately 8-10 hours/day.
