WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Safely set up, operate, troubleshoot and repair machines to efficiently and effectively produce product to print.
- Utilizes computer to access MRP software for Bill of Material.
- Preassembles set up to minimize machine downtime.
- Utilizes Tapping Standard Set Up sheet to set machine parameters.
- Works on continual improvement projects to improve safety, quality and productivity.
- Inspects tools and replaces defective tools in set up.
- Reviews workload and schedule to prioritize set ups.
- Addresses machine issues in a timely manner.
- Works with team members to maximize efficiency and quality of machines and tooling.
- Participates in team meetings and works well with team members.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement activities to assist team in meeting goals including Dynamite Idea program, reporting near misses and 5S.
- Communicates tool outages to tool planning and leadership.
- Communicates machine issues to maintenance, engineering, and leadership.
- Returns tools and taps from previous job to correct location.
- Follows work instructions and procedures.
- Operates tapping machines in production, new parts, projects and continual improvement activities as needed.
- Assists team members with removing bowls, finishing jobs, lining up next job and other activities to maximize machine run time.
- Keeps work areas organized and clean at all times.
- Works in other areas to support business.
- Observes all safety regulations at all times.
- Performs other tasks as required
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Mechanical Ability.
- Tapping experience preferred
- Read and understand prints and work instructions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift approximately 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand approximately 8 hrs. a day.
- Visual acuity for detailed work.
- Manual dexterity.
