RESPONSIBLE FOR MENTORING AND COUNSELING PATIENTS WITH THE FINANCIAL ASPECTS OF THER ACCOUNTS, PARTICULARLY PATIENTS WHO ARE UNINSURED, UNDER INSURED, OR IDENTIFY A NEED FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, ESTABLISHING PAYMENT PLANS, DETERMINING A NEED FOR OTHER FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS, DETERMINING PATIENTS’ ELIGIBILITY FOR HOSPITAL-SPONSORED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND/OR EXTERNAL SOURCES SUCH AS STATE SPONSORED MEDICAID PROGRAMS, SSI, CRIME VICTIMS, ETC. ASSIST SUPERVISOR/DIRECTOR WITH COMPLETION OF MEDICARE BAD DEBT LOGS FOR FINANCE AND/OR AUDITS. MUST ALSO REMAIN CURRENT WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE “COLLECTOR” POSITION AND FUNCTIONS ESPECIALLY WHEN BACK UP IS NEEDED.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Education: ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, SOCIAL WORK OR FINANCE PREFERRED, HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT REQUIRED.
- Experience: TWO TO THREE YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED, PREFERABLY IN A HEALTHCARE SETTING. FIVE YEARS OF DIRECTLY RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED IN LIEU OF EDUCATION PREREQUISITE.
