Position Summary
The Medical Records Specialist will manage and perform higher level functions for the Medical Records department, including collecting, organizing, storing and retrieving all Medical Records. The Medical Records Specialist monitors and evaluates the information, documentation, and communication processes associated with medical records, including management of physician orders and Face to Face encounters. Timely tracking, retrieval and uploading of these critical orders ensures compliance with timely and accurate claims and billing.
Essential Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Experience: Six months to one year of relevant experience or training
Required skills: Strong organizational skills. Strong computer skills. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Skills: Medical Office experience
