What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwork Estimator / Drafter position at Penn Technical Staffing?
A well-established semi-custom production cabinet shop located in Pottstown, PA is seeking a Millwork Estimator / Drafter to join their team. This person will create bids & CAD drawings for millwork / cabinetry projects for various clients. Duties include : corresponding with clients / architects to determine scope of work; visiting jobs sites as necessary; reading blue prints to break down scope of work and do material takeoffs; calling vendors and subcontractors to obtain material / labor costs for bid; reviewing scope of work with shop personnel to obtain labor hours for manufacturing; entering compiled costs and pricing information into excel bid form; working with office personnel to type up and send bid out by due date; following up with client to check status of job after due date; create CAD ship drawings for awarded projects; ordering material for awarded jobs; following up on job process and tracking; create packing slips for job to ship out when complete.
