What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Penn Terminals?
Penn Terminals is seeking an Accountant. Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work. Qualified candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
Core Responsibilities include, but not limited to
· Prepare monthly general ledger journal entries and month end accruals.
· Prepares & file sales and use tax returns.
· Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
· Perform Financial analysis.
· Review monthly P&L and ensure accuracy.
· Assist with financial and tax audits.
· Assist with the month-end closing process adhering to strict deadlines.
· Provide back-up and support to the Finance Team
· Takes the initiative and seeks process improvement opportunities within assigned responsibilities.
· Completes other duties as assigned to meet accounting department responsibilities.
Key Skills:
· Thorough understanding of basic accounting concepts, procedures, reconciliation processes and financial statements.
· Excellent organizational skills to work independently, prioritize tasks and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
· Team Leadership abilities
· Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
· Ability to flex schedule to support business demands (may include weekend work)
· Must be able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing.
· Must be willing to accept new duties as business needs and the role evolve.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of recent Corporate Accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with advanced level of Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills

Location: Eddystone, PA – 1 day remote, 4 days on-site
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
