Construction Project Manager
Role Overview
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the construction of renewable energy projects, ensuring successful execution within defined safety, quality, budget, and schedule constraints. This role requires close coordination with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure project adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and budget while bringing projects to completion within established timelines.
- Understand the project development process, including regulatory, permitting, and local utility requirements.
- Develop project scope, budget, and timelines in collaboration with internal teams.
- Coordinate with internal teams across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction functions.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings to identify constructability issues.
- Assist in managing construction contracts, including agreements with contractors and consultants.
- Collaborate with contractors, equipment suppliers, municipalities, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure projects are built according to issued IFC packages and quality standards.
- Track and report project performance using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Manage risk mitigation strategies and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain strong relationships with landowners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Oversee project budgetary objectives, adjusting financial constraints based on analysis and approvals.
- Ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project handover and closeout activities, ensuring seamless transition to operations teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to assigned team members.
