Job Summary
PennEngineering is seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our team. As a key member of our Tool Room, you will be responsible for operating various machines and producing high-quality tools with precise tolerances.
About the Role
As a Tool Maker, you will:
- Independently perform tool making tasks using milling machines, centerless grinders, and surface grinders
- Work from complex drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce desired parts
- Measure and inspect tools to ensure accuracy and quality
- Collaborate with forepersons to transmit information and exchange ideas
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in a tool room environment or possession of a Tool & Die Makers Certificate
- Visual acuity for detailed work and ability to stand for long periods
- Occasional lifting of up to 30-40 lbs
