Willing to cross train in purchasing for supplies and materials needed for the manufacturing facility and office requirements.

Basic Purpose And Objective
This position requires being familiar with the needs of the manufacturing facility, on-time delivery, confirming delivery of materials, and preparing work orders/purchase orders. Willing to cross train in purchasing for supplies and materials needed for the manufacturing facility and office requirements.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Utilize MRP to plan, schedule and execute work orders for material requirements to meet sales/customer forecasts.
- Maintains build plan and evaluates records of items purchased, work in progress, deliveries, and inventories for sufficient items on hand.
- Ability to be prepared and lead meetings.
- Weekly or as needed prepare raw goods for outside processing.
- Works with Engineering to maintain and plan for custom and make to order (MTO) customer orders.
- Follow through on expected delivery dates and confirm receipt of goods.
- Works with the Inventory team on audits for work orders to ensure they are pulled accurately.
- Weekly will schedule the shop floor per their capacity.
- Monthly will review all open work orders to ensure they are active and/or valid.
- Works together to support Senior buyers, Production and Plant manager, maintenance team, and any other internal team as needed

Requirements
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 year of procurement or material planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to organize, plan, and perform multiple projects and meet deadlines with excellent quality and service
- Strong computer skills in MS Office products (word, excel and PowerPoint), MRP database programs (JDE)
- Solid verbal and written communication skills including professional phone etiquette
- Full time position
- Regularly scheduled to work 8 – 10 hours a day
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday
