What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Civil Engineer position at Pennoni?

Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Engineer and contribute to our multi-discipline design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Haddon Heights, NJ. This person will have the opportunity to work on a variety of private and public site development projects across various markets!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare site plan development drawings; this involves taking land survey data to develop a site plan package that is compliant with municipal regulations.
- Design and detail of site layout, removals, grading, utilities, etc.
- Design and detail stormwater management: hydrologic & hydraulic modeling, erosion control, sediment control, relevant design calculations, etc.
- Assist with mentoring junior-level staff.
- Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering).
- 2 years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with land development projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FE / EIT.
- Experience working on land development projects.
- Experience working with stormwater management, especially while utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools, is a plus!
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Proven ability to prepare a site plan package for submission to local jurisdiction(s) is a plus!
- Proficiency on basic office software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
