Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in laboratory procedures and a passion for analytical Testing . This role involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring the quality control of laboratory processes and production quality. The Laboratory Technician will also play a crucial role in supporting the creation of new blend formulations as well as minor adjustment of blend formulations under production
Responsibilities
- Use established analytical methods to provide prompt and accurate testing for samples using approved standards and analytical techniques that comply with our laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure that all instruments and equipment used for sample analysis are calibrated and in good working order prior to any sample analysis
- Prepare and perform sample analysis utilizing assigned instruments using current and approved SOPs and within regulatory holding times
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for self and other lab employees
- Performing sample, reagent, and waste disposal by proper procedures
- Comply with quality assurance requirements and SOPs
- Adhere to the scheduled timeframe for preparation/testing/analysis of samples
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
- Regular walking and standing for long periods of time on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
- Responsibilities may require crouching, bending, twisting, climbing repeatedly throughout the day
- Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms
- Work overtime as needed to overlap with production quotas
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, preferred
- Proficient in wet chemistry techniques, laboratory instrumentation, and data analysis
- Proficient mathematical skills for data analysis and interpretation.
- Familiarity with software for data recording and analysis is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions and protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively document and report findings and data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
