What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at PTS Advance?
Position Responsibilities Include :
Perform all operations according to our safety requirements and maintain workplace safety in complete alignment with our Total Safety Philosophy
Conduct experiments following established procedures under the direction of a Sr. Scientist to develop new materials with desired properties. Ability to work with hazardous chemicals in a safe manner following existing procedures.
Accurately document all experiments including observations and results and maintain laboratory records.
Assist in maintaining laboratory chemical inventory.
Employ standard analytical techniques to characterize materials and test polymers to evaluate their performance under different conditions and environment.
Assist in maintaining all laboratory and analytical equipment. Identify potential improvements to equipment operations and laboratory procedures.
Assist in the development of weekly work objectives. Prepare data with analysis for discussion with development team.
We are seeking results-oriented candidates with the following qualifications :
B.S. in Chemistry or closely related field or A.S. with 0-2 years related industrial experience.
Adept in laboratory techniques and equipment. Ability to accurately follow existing laboratory procedures and protocols.
Ability to learn new methods and techniques.
Experience in chemical research is a plus but not required.
Communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with people with positivity from all cultures and at all organizational levels. Ability to work and contribute in a team environment.
