Overview
This position's primary responsibilities will include comprehensive business and relationship development through identification and cultivation strategies, leading to mutually beneficial partnerships between industry and the College. The primary territory for this position will be in the Lehigh Valley, PA; with approximately 10% of time spent on campus in Williamsport. Some remote work necessary. This position will have shared supervision with the Senior Vice President for College Relations and the Vice President for Workforce Development.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Political Science or related discipline. Required
EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) years of successful experience in sales, corporate relations, constituent services, business, or higher education development. Required
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Ability to successfully develop business relationships, partnerships, etc. Required
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions. Required
- Ability to work with diverse constituencies in a professional manner. Required
- Proficiency in English communication skills (verbal and written). Required
- Fluency or proficiency in multiple languages is highly desirable. Required
- Must possess well developed organizational skills. Required
- Proficiency with computers and requisite software packages. Must become proficient in the use of constituent database. Required

Responsibilities
Establish, maintain and grow a strong presence in the Lehigh Valley with local, state and federal government officials (in alignment with the College’s government relations personnel), economic development and industry contacts. Serve as a main point of contact between the region and Penn College.
Partner with Regional Admissions Recruiter to effectively promote and represent Penn College in the region.
Conduct proactive outreach to companies through phone, email, scheduled visits, networking events, economic development activities and industry conferences.
Routinely engage with industry to build new and enhance existing mutually beneficial relationships with Penn College.
Perform needs assessments with companies to understand their workforce development challenges and opportunities.
Support making connections between Penn College, industry and the local K-12 schools to support apprenticeships, as well as educational and career pathways.
Present and promote the College's comprehensive training solutions, including both standardized and customized programs.
Share referrals of workforce trainings needs to Workforce Development colleagues, in order to meet industry goals.
Present and promote the College’s comprehensive Career Services options for industry to recruit student interns and full-time employees; such as Career Fairs, Recruitment Days and customized recruiting.
Encourage participation in the College’s Corporate Tomorrow Makers Program, to engage industry contacts directly with the academic programs, faculty and students.
Make routine connections between industry contacts and the campus divisions of Career Services, Corporate Relations, and Workforce Development to help meet their workforce training and talent acquisition goals.
Stay up to date on academic program and equipment/software needs on campus, and make connections to fundraising colleagues on campus to solicit contributions.
Manage contacts and activity in CRM.
Routinely track and report on contacts, relationship development, and metrics.
Prepare financial, statistical, and other activity reports and projections as requested by the supervisor.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, workforce challenges, and training best practices.
Assist in the development of marketing materials and presentations for targeted audiences.
Prepare and deliver presentations to industry executives and decision-makers.
Promote the mission and services of the College through presentations, service on committees, and participation in meetings with various agencies.
Assist in the strategic planning process and execute the objectives of the College.
Plans regular travel to visit with industry.
Participate in seminars, conferences, workshops, guideline meetings and other professional development activities to enhance professional abilities.

Pay Transparency
Based on minimum education and experience qualifications the yearly salary range is $72,000 - $77,000.
