PennCares is looking for compassionate, reliable, and patient individuals to join our team as Non-Medical, In-Home Caregivers. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals who need assistance with daily living activities. Overnight availability is a plus. If you have a passion for helping others maintain their independence and dignity, we want to hear from you!
No experience necessary, starts at $13.00-$13.75, pays up to $16.00
Caregiver’s responsibilities could include:
- Assist clients with non-medical personal care needs (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social outings
- Assist with mobility and physical activity (walking, transferring from bed to chair, etc.)
- Help clients adhere to daily routines and schedules
- Monitor and report changes in health or behavior to the family or supervisor
- Provide medication reminders (no administration of medication)
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in caregiving (professional or personal) is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and supporting clients as needed
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required)
