Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and improving business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and working closely with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions. This position plays a critical role in enhancing efficiency, ensuring successful project delivery, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions
Process Analysis (40%)
- Analyze and document current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Conduct process mapping sessions and workflows to develop comprehensive understanding of business operations.
- Recommend process changes or optimizations to enhance business performance.
- Collaborate with business units to implement process improvements and monitor their effectiveness.
Requirements Gathering & Documentation (30%)
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for new systems or changes to existing systems.
- Create clear, concise, and comprehensive requirement documents that define functional and non-functional specifications.
- Ensure that requirements are aligned with business needs and objectives.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops to refine requirements and ensure understanding among all stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration (15%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the development team.
- Organize and lead meetings to gather information and clarify requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand evolving needs.
Testing and Validation (10%)
- Assist in the creation of test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new solutions.
- Ensure that implemented solutions meet business requirements and are fully functional.
Reporting and Documentation (5%)
- Prepare and maintain reports and documentation related to process improvements, requirements analysis, and project progress.
- Provide status updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analyst role.
- Proven experience in process analysis and improvements.
- Experience with gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in process modeling and mapping tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of business analysis frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
