What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager position at Pennsylvania Machine Works?
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Revenue and profitability growth from Sales and Product / Application development for All Ladish Brands including Ladish Ball, Gate, Globe and Check valves, Smith Forged Steel Valves and AIT (Gears and Actuators) within the assigned Region.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales (Direct Sales and Distribution Support): Responsible for achieving agreed revenue and profitability targets for Ladish Valves at Distribution and Direct Accounts within the assigned Region. This will include direct end-user, EPC and distributor contact, development of new distribution channels as needed and work with Inside Sales on quote / proposal documentation.
- Market Development: Assist in market development of the Severe and Critical Service Ball Valve Lines to meet annual growth targets
- Assist in the creation and implementation of the overall sales strategy for the assigned Region setting aggressive goals across the covered territory.
- Develop sales opportunities by working with new and existing customers; soliciting new accounts, building rapport with distributors and end users, providing technical information and explanations.
- Prepare technical quotations.
- Provide accurate and timely reports. Routine overnight travel to visit customers.
TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES:
Computer software applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated and successful sales and/or sales management experience in the Industrial Valve or Automation Market.
