Heavy Equipment Operator / Loader Operator
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator / Loader Operator to join our team at the State of Pennsylvania.
Job Summary:
In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating trucks, loaders, and additional equipment as required. You will also perform flagger duties as directed for traffic control when not operating equipment. Additionally, you will perform various manual laboring duties using motorized and non-motorized hand tools, and make all necessary field adjustments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, loaders, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Perform flagger duties as directed to ensure safe traffic control.
- Conduct manual labor tasks using hand tools, including but not limited to, shovels, rakes, and hammers.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of work performed.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in operating heavy equipment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You should also possess basic math skills and be able to read and understand instructions and documents.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
Location: Pennsylvania
Work Environment: This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions. You will be required to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
