POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
As the Field Service Technician, is responsible for providing technical repair and service work either in a facility or in the field. Must have in-depth knowledge of products and services and may provide guidance to field service team, perform visits, and meet with customers.
Essential Functions
• Liaising with clients and answering all questions and complaints efficiently and professionally.
• Provides technical support and directly to the customer or for the customer’s representative.
• Possess an in-depth understanding of transformer technology, specifications, and operational principles to support technicians and customers effectively.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting complex issues and offering innovative solutions.
• Install equipment/transformers on-site.
• Repairing damaged equipment in the field.
• Perform maintenance of transformers per warranty agreement.
• Communicates regularly with other members of the support team to discuss recurring problems and to share solutions and best practices.
• Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns.
• Establish and maintain effective, communicative relationships with Customers. Be a positive ambassador for PTT at Customer sites.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service records, customer communications, and other relevant data.
• Required to handle transformer oil in a safe and environmentally approved method.
• Acquire a basic understanding of PPE (Hardhat, Fire Resistant clothing, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
• Additional duties as required.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and follow them for work to be performed.
• Knowledge and use of hand tools and some specialized tools as required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
Education and Experience
• In-depth knowledge of transformers, their installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
• Basic understanding of electricity and how to check voltage.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience required.
• Fall protection and Confined Space safety training is required.
Physical Job Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
May need a high level of concentration in a busy area.
May require work from arial platform, ladders, and on top of the units. Jobs may require Field Service Tech to enter confined space. Fall projection and Confined Space safety training is required.
Working Conditions
· Monday through Friday and on-call will be required.
· Employees will need to be able to travel by air or land for extended periods.
· Employees will travel an average of 100 days a year.

Salary : $55,000 - $64,000
