Job Summary
Carries out manual tasks which contribute to the carrying out of the project for their professional specialty (road, pipelines, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
Complete tasks as directed by supervisor in a timely manner
Maintain and clean work areas
Handles, stacks, and move formwork and materials.
Keep jobsite clean and orderly by cleaning and stacking materials not in use
Perform shoveling, raking, and demolition work as required
Assist others during concrete placements
Able to work and assist others to work in a safe manner within the guidelines of the company's policies
Other duties may be assigned
Applies the safety guidelines including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment.
Carries out the work based on precise directives from their superiors.
Prepares the tools, the materials, necessary for the building of the structure and the workspace.
Makes procurements for the construction site if necessary.
Transports and stores equipment.
Ensures the cleanliness of the construction site.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain a clean driving history
Skills
Previous experience and knowledge with construction job sites
Physical Requirements
Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
Regularly required to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects
Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Standing / working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
Frequent exposure to loud noise
Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
Required to work varying hours, including nights / weekends, Overtime as the need arises
Must follow the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
Proven track record working safely
Good work ethic, professional, and positive attitude
