Maintenance Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and provides training for skilled maintenance technicians while ensuring the construction, repair, and maintenance of plant production equipment. This role requires technical expertise, decision-making within established procedures, and a strong focus on efficiency, safety, and equipment reliability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Supervises and mentors maintenance technicians, enhancing their skills and professional growth.
• Oversees construction and maintenance projects, establishing clear action plans to ensure timely completion.
• Manages maintenance personnel, materials, and equipment, ensuring resources are secured for all projects.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots production equipment malfunctions, implementing effective solutions.
• Determines and maintains inventory of necessary parts and materials for the department
• Ensures equipment operates efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Enforces safety and housekeeping practices to maintain a clean and secure work environment.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including schedulers, vendors, and contractors.
• Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency through technical advancements and employee training.
• Determines cost-effective repair methods, obtains vendor quotes, and supports the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
• Develops and oversees the Preventive Maintenance Plan, ensuring proper scheduling and execution.
• Implements company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SAFETY

• Must follow all Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) Hazard Assessment requirements.
• Must follow all Environmental Health and Safety procedural requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant maintenance environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of mechanical concepts.
• Demonstrated technical expertise and professionalism in job-related functions.
• Effective project and time management skills to meet deadlines and goals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to tolerate loud noise.
• Climb ladders, operate Scissor lift, and work at heights as high as 25'.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
