Pennybyrn has an opportunity for an Adult Day Program Assistant.
Pennybyrn is excited for the grand opening of our Witcher Adult Day Program! This program provides a coordination of services for Seniors in a community-based group setting. We have an opportunity for a full-time Program Assistant to be responsible for leading, organizing, implementing, and participating in therapeutic and recreational programs for Senior Adults. These include activities such as games, music, arts and crafts, gardening, parties, excursions, special events, and cultural activities. This position is responsible for group and individual events according to the participants' needs, capabilities, and interests. The Program Assistant will follow and prepare a planned calendar of activities, monitor the safety and security of participants, assist with meal times, and support the participants personal care needs. This position is responsible for the overall positive and upbeat atmosphere, providing a pleasant and enjoyable experience for all.

General Description Of Essential Functions
- Support social needs of participants
- Organize group and one-on-one activities, as well as spontaneous events
- Provide emotional support and build meaningful relationships
- Complete daily documentation and input into care plans
- Maintain all equipment and supplies, perform housekeeping tasks
- Assist in food preparation, serving, monitoring, and maintain a pleasant atmosphere
- Recreational Therapy degree or Activity Director certificate preferred, but not required
- Minimum of one year experience working with Senior Adults or Disabled Adults
- Must have an energetic and positive demeanor that is warm and welcoming
