What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Toddler Teacher position at Shepherd's Way Day School?
We are looking for an assistant teacher to love, nurture, and care for our toddlers.
Responsibilities would include :
- To assist the teacher in the implementation of the weekly plan of activities.
- To work with the teacher in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
- To assist teacher in maintaining good communication with parents.
- To obtain in-service and yearly training requirements.
- To have a working knowledge of N.C. Day Care rules and regulations.
- To keep teacher and director informed of problems that arise in the classroom.
- To assist in keeping the room well organized and arranged appropriately.
- To cooperate with other staff at center to create a professional environment.
- To assist in maintaining visual supervision of children.
- To assist in maintaining records.
Hourly rate of pay would be based on experience / education in the field of early childhood education. We also offer paid holidays (including the week of July 4th and the week of Christmas) as well as dental and vision insurance.
